Could Your Daily Probiotic Protect You from Pollution?

Can a Probiotic a Day Keep Pollution at Bay?

Here’s a thought that woke me up at 3 AM a few nights ago. Strangely enough, I was dreaming about air pollution.

And when I woke up from my foggy nightmare, I couldn’t stop thinking about how harmful those rogue particles in the air and in our food and water are and all the toxins we’re exposed to daily.

Sadly, we’re living in a world where the air in most major cities looks like a scene from Blade Runner 2049.

The WHO estimates that 99% of the global population breathes air that exceeds their guideline limits for pollutants.

And then I started thinking about those tiny bacterial warriors (probiotics)we get from eating fermented foods or in pill form and whether they might do more than keep our gut happy.

Science to the Rescue!

After digging through some journals the next morning, my eyes rested on some studies that could be game changing for our health.

I know what you’re thinking. “Another probiotic article?” But stick with me, because this isn’t about your typical digestive health spiel.
