Little League World Series baseball player, Easton Oliverson is in critical condition after tumbling from a bunk bed at a dorm in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The l2-year-old sustained a skull fracture from the fall and is hospitalized in Danville, Pennsylvania. It’s tragic that such an injury should happen to anyone, much less a child. It also raises the question about the safety of bunk beds .

An Unfortunate Injury

How did this injury happen? Easton Oliverson was sleeping when he fell out of the bunk bed in the middle of the night, according to team sources.

Not only did he fracture his skull, but he experienced an epidural hematoma, a punctured artery that bled into his brain.

Fortunately, he underwent surgery in a timely manner and was placed in a medically induced coma after being wheeled out of the operating room.

The good news is he’s slowly recovering and now requires less oxygen and painkillers.

Hopefully he’s on the path to recovery. Let’s hope he’ll be back on the baseball field soon!
