I can relate to this! Many years ago, I decided I didn't want children and have never regretted it. Fortunately, my husband feels the same way. We've instead devoted any parental skills we might have had toward caring for our rescue dogs. The only person who isn't happy is my mother-in-law. lol.

As you say, it's a personal decision and people need to respect your wishes. I can't imagine bringing a child into the world with all that's going on. They may not have a planet to live on when they grow up.
