I completely agree with your statement that dopamine plays a critical role in helping us progress toward our goals. When we accomplish a goal or receive a reward, our brain releases dopamine, which makes us feel good and encourages us to repeat the behavior that led to the reward. This cycle of behavior and reward is a key driver of goal-oriented behavior.

I also agree that focusing solely on the future can cause us to miss out on enjoying the present moment. While it's important to have goals and work towards them, it's equally important to appreciate the present and enjoy the journey towards achieving those goals. By focusing too much on the future, we can become anxious and stressed, which can actually hinder our progress toward our goals.

So, it's all about, as you point out, striking a balance. Super article! :-)
