I think you made some excellent points here, Steven, and they're backed by science.

I'm a big believer in walking for 10 minutes after a meal. Studies show it helps with blood glucose control more than walking at other times of the day.

Cutting back on carbohydrates is a smart idea too. I think cutting back on refined carbs is most important, but it's best to avoid fruits that are high in sugar too. I stick to berries since they're low in sugar.
