That says it all about the mentality in Mississippi.

Despite the fact that Mississippi is 40% African American (the highest percent in the country), it still managed to be the last state to remove the Confederate emblem from their state flag. In fact, they only changed their flag in 2020, in response to the George Floyd protests.
