Your professor was brilliant to say that and I think he's absolutely right. I don't think anyone is turned away from the light and the higher power of God forever. He wasn't clearheaded when he did it. We all make mistakes and poor decisions. Why would God condemn someone who was suffering and not thinking clearly? I believe he is in a place of great love and comfort, beyond anything we can understand.
